Ethos
A strong family bond is critical in the positive physical,
emotional, and social development of children. We know that
all families are unique and individual, yet share common strengths.
Families can be the source of security, love, and identity
for all their members. All families have strengths, but many
in today’s changing world face exceptional challenges.
The Soul Project strongly believes that families are the backbone
of communities, so an environment where the family as a whole
can spend quality time together will always be beneficial.
When families weaken, all members but especially children
suffer. Therefore services that provide educational opportunities
that build on protective factors such as social competencies,
decision making, communication skills, and interpersonal relationships
are considered necessary to strengthen the family bond.
Effective families can contribute to positive individual development,
a quality work place and workforce, caring communities, and
a healthy nation.
